Super Baby

Nathan is such a great father, and he absolutely adores Heather and vice versa. I don't know what I would do without him. He has that father's touch when soothing Heather, and she loves playing with him. One of his favorite games is to play Superman with her. It drives me abosultely insane to watch though. He holds her up as high as his arm reachs and she just smiles away. In the above picture he's holding her up by her clothes, a big pet peave of mine. Baby's are to be held and cuddled with, not play things =) Another is to balance her on his hand. Everytime he does it I just want to scream at him but I think he does it just to get a reaction out of me.....thats my husband =).

Getting so big!!

Time to be a kid again

One of the best parts about being a parent is being a kid again! I loved doing little "creating and painting" projects when I was a kid and now Aden is old enough to begin the fun. Paper mache was my forte so we've been doing all kinds of things. Aden's favorite is a Volcano that we made. He got to "create" the mountain, mold and shape it, then paint it, and of course, what's a volcano without an eruption...just add some vinegar and baking soda! He asks everyday now if we can make another one Another one of his favorite projects is making a Tornado (were big into science and nature stuff). We take a jar, mix some chemicals, add the food coloring, and the debris (spices) and let him swirl away....it makes a little tornado and the spices look like dust around the "tornado". We'll also being making a solar system soon, with balloons, paper mache, and paint...but I haven't gathered enough newspapers yet, plus I'm not ready for the mess. Anyway, the other project Aden loved was his cowboy and Indian fort. We just took a box, painted it, and made teepees out of Paper plates. So plain but so much fun. I don't have very many pics, but I'll be better about that.

Warm Weather

Long time, no blog....but, it's been a rough couple of weeks..... things seem to be settling down so I'll be devoting more time to keeping up with these projects, plus, I got an awesome new camera to take pics with!!! It was so nice over the last week we just had to get out of the house! So the four of us and Seth took a little adventure to the Stillwater river for some "ice" fishing! Aden and Seth had so much fun throwing rocks into the river, building the fire, and "splashing" each other. The two boys are so great for each other, we're so glad we have family to have so much fun with. They are definitely best friends!
I bet Nathan one of them would be soaked by the time we left, but niether one fell in....

Ever heard of surfing and fishing on a river?

Trust me, there's no innocence here

Heather got some fun in the sun too.

Xmas 08

For Christmas this year, the family all came together down in Wyoming at Granny and Pappy's house. Aden was so excited to play with all of his cousins, we hardly saw him the whole time =). All of the grandkids made cookies for Santa which was very fun to watch. And everyone LOVED Christmas morning! Aden got all kids of new stuff from Santa: laser tag, marble races, football, poster, etc. Heather also enjoyed her first Christmas in her new bouncer seat. However, as much fun as it was, the entire family came down with the stomach flu. I believe everyone got sick except for Eric and Granny...lucky ducks. All in all, it was a great time.

Tuckered out from all the excitement.

Heather loves playing with Lexi!
