The Wilcox Family Christmas

Aden could hardly wait to open presents this year, I think he asked about 50 times before we finally said okay! My brother and nephew came from Nebraska, and my sister from Las Vegas. My mom was very excited to have us all there for Xmas, even though it's early.

Finally!

Our little elves.

"I'll help you mom, I mean, I'll just open it for you!"

Brother and Sister

Just had to update some new pics of my cute kids. Heather is rolling over, almost sitting up, and can speak five languages....I'm so proud =) haha.

What can I say?

Night night.

Almost sitting....

Bad hair day...

Ahh

Skiing!

We had the best time the other day. My sister, nephew, and brother came for a visit this last week and for X-mas, my mom got us all skiing tickets. Only four of us (Tyler, Mandy, Aden, and I) went but it was a blast. Aden went to ski school in the morning and then with us in the afternoon. He was having so much fun, "Just one more time mom!" after every time we got to the bottom. He was falling asleep on the ski lifts on the way up but screamed with laughter on the way down. Even when he fell down he was having fun. We took him up on one run and it was pretty steep. He would get up and then fall every 10 feet. About half way down I threw his ski's over my shoulder, picked him up and skiied the rest of the way down. When we got to the bottom we realized we had taken him on a BLUE run! Oops, at least we can say he's tried it! I think this is one adventure we're going to try again soon, and make daddy come with us!!

Like mother like son.

There he goes , "Ride em cowboy....whooo!"

A Four Year Old!

Yes, amazing as it sounds, I have a four year old. It seems so weird, for one that he is that old, for two that I'm that old. We opened gifts for him at my parents house and he got new ski stuff, Star Wars figurines, a new airport, and some games. We haven't had an actually birthday party this year, but perhaps soon. He is getting so big and is as tall as my belly button. He says the cutest little kid sayings and tells the most interesting stories now. He surprises me too every now and then; the other day he was telling me about how he remembered dancing in the rain while my car was getting fixed, and we did that almost 1 1/2 years ago. Smart little bugger. It's so much fun being a mom, watching these little things grow up to be such good kids =).

Oh, what could it be??

(We could only find one candle)

Looks like he's ready to ski to me!

Rockin Fun

So, we joined the rest of the world and got Rock Band. It is amazing how much fun it is. Johnathan (Bass Guitar), Anneke (Drums), Nathan (Guitar), and I (Vocals) stay up till all hours of the night....3 a.m. and play on our world tour. It's cool to have the rest of the family come over and play too, even Granny got in on the fun on the drums. It's a little too complicated for the kids, but they still try.

Seth is jammin away.

He's concentrating so hard!

A little help from daddy.

O Christmas Tree O Christmas Tree

Our family has a new tradition of chopping down our christmas trees. This is the 3rd year and this year was as fun as ever. My mom, dad, and the four Zito's loaded up in the truck and headed to Red Lodge. The weather was nice, and we were able to pick out a few nice ones.

Heather loved the nice fresh air, for a total of 10 seconds.

Isn't he just cute?

Aden chopped down the tree!

Heather's Blessing

This Sunday, November 2nd, Heather had her blessing. She wore the dress Nathan's mother made for her. She was absolutely adorable and I had to show off the pictures. Granny hand made the dress, booties, and bonnet. She sells them online and if anyone is interested the web site is DryCreekDesigns.

She'll be crawling in days (haha...)

The happy family.

Daddy and his little girl.

What can I say, I think she's adorable!

Aww, my cute kids.

Halloween

Trick or Treat! This year, we hosted a Halloween party for Aden and his cousins. We had 8 little ones running around and it was so much fun: 3 dalmations (Heather, Dominique, and Tyler), Spiderman (Brandon), 2 princesses (Lexi and Ashlyn), a storm trooper (Aden), a dinosaur (Brenna), and a Pirate (Seth). We bobbed for apples and had a bean bag toss. All the kids were able to make it into the box, and whats a party without a pumpkin pinata. Nathan had to help with that one, and in the process hit Eric..oopps. Then we meet up with Johnathan, Anneke, and Josie and went trick or treating in one big group. Aden ended up with way to much candy, but after a sugar high weekend, it is almost gone.

I dressed up as a mad scientist.

Some last minute touches.

Never Ending

It seems like no matter how much time you spend on anything, be it work, chores, parenthood...it's never ending. I spent the last 2 years studying for school, and after I graduated I thought it would be nice not to study anymore. However, the last couple of weeks (days acutally....I'm a huge procrastinator) I've been studying during my free time...haha, if you would call it that. Today I took the PANCE, the certification exam for PA's, and honestly, I have absolutely no idea how I did. I answered some questions right, and some questions wrong. The frustrating part is, 1/3 of the test isn't acutally the "test." It's practice questions they "test" out for the next group. So if they through out the questions I did really good on, I'll do bad. If they throw out the questions I answered wrong, then I aced it. Confusing, I know, but I'll eventually know in about 2-3 weeks. Can't wait (sarcastically speaking).

So, I know how every one likes to read the posts with pictures, so I'll add a few just to make it "interesting..." Nothing really special, just a quick couple of shots of those kids of mine. =)

Heather

It seems like it takes sooo long for them to get here and then time goes by sooo fast. It just doesn't seem fair. She really is such a good baby and thankfully, is now only getting up once in the middle of the night, and then a little early in the morning about 6 or so. She has been sleeping about 6-7 hour stretches at a time. Honestly, I don't think I've had the nightmarish newborn night period. It's so much fun starting over with a new one with all kinds of "firsts" to accomplish. I caught some first smiles the other day with the camera that were so sweet. I do have to say I think she looks mostly like her dad than me with her blue eyes. =)

Halloween Treats!

Since the new baby, I've tried to spend some quality time with Aden everyday doing a fun project. We have painted pictures, made houses out of boxes, did sand art, and made bouncy balls. This weekend we decided to decorate sugar cookies! Aden's cousin Dominique was also able to come over and help. It was fun to watch the creativity of a 3 year old versus a 7 year old versus a 25 year old. =) We cut out halloween shapes of pumpkins, cats, and ghosts and then frosted them with halloween colors of frosting. But, whats a cookie with out a little extra sugar so we added candy corn and lots and lots of sprinkles. I think they both enjoyed making them, but enjoyed eating the decorating "materials" much more.
