Ages and Stages

Heather turned 5 months old this week. I hear it at least once or twice a week about how fast babies grow, but it is soo true. Hard to believe it has been almost 1/2 a year since she was born. She's learning new tricks everyday. She is sitting fairly well, as long as I "adjust" her just perfectly. She can for about 10 minutes or so, then ends up falling, and she must have a toy in her hands at all times. She hasn't mastered the art of rolling over from back to tummy, but I'm sure she will one of these days, and I'll long for the days when she wasn't moving at all. =) Aden has also grown up so fast. We had some mommy and me time this week and put some sock puppets together. We made a lady bug and an alien. He really liked to make them, and to tease the dog with them.
The lady bug

He used it as a "punching toy" for awhile

My big little girl

I love this smile!

Concentrating so hard!

Disney Live!

I'm a little late posting this one, but my computer was dropped on the floor this week (by a mischevious little red-head) and I have to have the screen replaced...but anyway, I'm using the shop and Nathan's not very good at sharing his things. The four of us, Lexi, Brandon, Merilee, and her friends Reagan and Julia all went to see playhouse Disney Live. The kids really enjoyed themselves, and their $10 a bag cotten candy and $8 a piece slushies. =) We got to see the playhouse gang, pooh and tiger, handy manny, and little einsteins. The kids were a little tired at first but eventually got into the singing and dancing by the end of it.

I thought Lexi looked so cute in the pic...Aden must have been hungry.

Here's those kids

Goofy's goofy

Can't even tell they missed their naps =)

Sad it's over

Family Pictures

It's Nathan's favorite time of year...when I drag him out of bed, make him shower, shave, and "polish", put on matching cloths, and venture out to torture him with hours of endless smiling...haha. Actually, I'm really lucky to have such a great husband that is willing to sacrifice a few hours for my pure enjoyment!! Anyway, we.......I decided it was time to do some family pictures. We went down to the Riverfront park and it was such a beautiful day. Aden ejoyed himself as Seth came along to watch too. I have learned in the past about kids and the outdoors, and I didn't have Aden put on his shirt till the very last minute, he was all dirt and mud.......kids. Johnathan took some pics and I think a few of them turned out okay. Heather was WAY more interested in everything around her EXCEPT the camera. When I sat her on the ground for her pics she was grabbing leaves and stuffing them into her mouth one fist after the other...it was so cute.
I was lying on the ground behind the log holding Heather up on this one....I got all muddy and dirty too....mothers.

One of the few she wasn't looking down on

At least one of them was smiling....good enough for me!

Aden had had enough by the time it was his turn for the solo pic

Such a cheezy smile but I still think its cute

This one is my favorite of him

This is my favorite family pic

Yeay, she looked at the camera!

Ymm Ymm Ymm

Okay, so who doesn't have pictures of their cute little baby smeared with baby food? I couldn't resist taking a few. Nathan does a much better job of feeding her than I do...she hardly needs a bib. When I do it, EVERYTHING is covered. The best part, is every baby food is some color, orange or green it seems, and she will not go through a feeding without sneezing at least once, or blowing rasberries. My table cloth has orange spots all over it but thats okay.

He's taking over my mess...

She loves Peaches!

Strike "X"

We had some fun out of the house this week and went bowling with Johnathan, Anneke, and Josie. Aden had lots of fun and was so cute to watch! He did manage to get a strike at least once while we were there, and even beat Johnathan's score on one game (as did everyone else.... my husband wanted me to point out.....see below picture with scores...) I didn't do so well, but it's all in good fun anyway. Heather and Josie were the "cheerleaders."

Nate: 86, Amber:73, John:49, Anneke 63...Aden was on the other lane

Waiting, waiting, waiting....

Wow, 7 down!

I just love those bowling shoes

Aww

Josie is always so cute!

Me and the girls

Flying High

I can't wait until Spring gets here. We got a little more taste of that warm weather, and decided to spend some time outdoors. Aden, Heather, and I went to the park and Heather LOVED the swing. She laughed and was so cute, she would just kick her little legs and loved swinging high. Aden enjoyed himself as he always does. When we got home, we decided to try to fly the kite. It took a little work, but we were able to get it up! However, Aden was in "control" and let go of the spool....it was so much fun chasing after it! The kite flew way over into the neighbor's field but we got it back.

Just trying out the zoom on the camera.

Right before he let go....
